Warmup’s loose cable is best suited for small, irregularly shaped spaces. It features a double-insulated wire with advanced fluoropolymers. Why does my floor heat unevenly?

How do I check if the cable is working ?


The only way to see if the cable is going to work and is not damaged is to use an ohmmeter to check the resistance between the heating conductors matches what it should be in the manual or on the box.

Need also to check and make sure that there is no resistance to the ground conductor.

What is the EMF level of Warmup cables?


Our cable was tested and measured 0.5 mG at 1/2” (a typical distance between the cable and your feet). This measures at 1/200th of the acceptable value of 100 mG as established by the WHO and Intertek/ETL. It therefore complies with EN50366.

Can I install floor heat under my tub?


It is not recommended to install floor heating under a tub. A claw foot tub can have heat under it but it is not necessary to heat the floor.

Can I install a wooden floating floor directly on top of the cable ?


NO: cable must be embedded in thin-set or self-leveling compound. Once dry, the floating wooden floor will be installed on top. Alternatively, select the FOIL heating mats which can be installed without thin set.
