What if my thermostat screen is black and won’t turn on?

Energy-Monitoring Thermostat

If your thermostat screen has no display and will not turn on when the power button is pushed, the thermostat could be wired incorrectly.

Please have your electrician make sure the thermostat is wired correctly with the same voltage that corresponds to your heating system. Incorrect wiring will cause the screen to not illuminate. Wiring instructions can be found in the installation manual and below.

If wiring is confirmed to be correct, check to make sure the correct voltage is being supplied to the thermostat. Also, make sure the pins on the back of the thermostat face fit into their counterparts on the thermostat back. If the pins are damaged or not making contact correctly, the thermostat screen will not power on.

If the problem persists, please view the below wiring video or contact Warmup for further assistance.
