3iE Basic temperature programming/Setting each day separately

Energy-Monitoring Thermostat

The picture below shows the screen you will see if you are in the “Program Schedule” screen. If you had selected the option of “View/Edit” a program, you would have to start in that particular menu to eventually reach menu now being referenced.

Notice on the next screen that “period:1” along with the first day of the week shows at the top left of the screen and directly to the top right, underneath “start time,” a specific start time is highlighted. This represents your first setting for the day, the time and temperature you want your floor to start off with.

Notice how the up and down arrows are also highlighted at the bottom of the screen. You will touch these arrows accordingly to adjust the highlighted start or “on” time that is highlighted. Once that is done, touch the dash that appears next to “floor temp” to set the temperature you want the floor to be at, based on the time you just set and again use the highlighted arrows to adjust the temperature up or down.

Once those two steps are completed, touch the dash next to “next period” at the bottom right of the screen.

Notice on the next screen that “period:2” now appears along with the first day of the week still showing because you are still dealing with the same day of the week. Again, at the top right of the screen underneath “start time,” a specific start time is highlighted. This represents your second setting for the day, the time and temperature you want your floor to end with for this first period (typically when the room in question is not in high demand).

Notice how the up and down arrows are also highlighted at the bottom of the screen. You will touch these arrows accordingly to adjust the highlighted start or “on” time that is highlighted. Once that is done, touch the dash that appears next to “floor temp” to set temperature you want the floor to be at based on the time you just set and again use the highlighted arrows to adjust the temperature up or down.

Once those two steps are completed, touch the dash next to “next period” at the bottom right of the screen if you wish to set a new time period for the same day or just touch the check under “done” if you are finished programming that particular day (Monday in this example).

TIP:

When you are at the summary screen of each day you program separately, you will notice that at the bottom right, a dash will be lit next to words indicating that you can copy the settings you just completed to the next day. In the example below, since you just programmed Monday, the words “copy to Tuesday appear.”

What if you want to program more than 2 periods?

For example, on Mondays, you might want three separate periods based on usage. So period 1 might have a start time of 6:00am with the target temp being set at 70⁰, period 2 will have a start period of 8:30am with the target temp set at 63⁰ since that room will not be in demand at that time. Your period 3 might have a start period of 6:00pm with the target back up to 70⁰ for a comfortable floor in the evening. Your period 4 might have a start period of 10:00pm with a target temp again at 63⁰. You can program a maximum of 7 periods for any given day.
