What is the purpose of the LTC Dip Switch?

coding-dot-bg

The LTC (Low-Temperature Cutoff), Dip Switch 4, is used when your snowmelt system can’t continue to melt snow due to low temperatures.

When the LTC is ON, your system will not turn on if temperatures reach or drop below 5°F. When the system is on and senses the temperature drop to 5°F, the system will delay-off. It will then only resume operation when temperatures rise to 9°F. This is referred to as RECOVER mode.

Note: Exercise care in using this mode as the potential exists for ice to form on the melting surface.

Please refer to the instruction manual for further instructions on installing and programming your DS-8 controller.
